The educational mobile app Glitr has brought a new wind of digitalisation to our school. Teachers and pupils alike have loved learning, playing and creating their own educational games. The app also connects our school with the parents of the pupils, who love to engage in playing family educational escape games, and this is what I appreciate the most as a school principal.

The Glitr app is an excellent tool if you like school through play. It's attractive for pupils - they play on smartphones or tablets, it's very user-friendly for players and game creators, and it combines fun with learning. The games can be of varying difficulty, they can get children moving and out of their chairs... An ideal addition to lessons in any subject, for project days or as a reward at the end of the school year.

During the creation of the game, we were pleasantly surprised by the reliability and creativity of the company's delivery team and their ability to incorporate our ideas that we entered the project with. We finally launched the game in June 2021 and it received an excellent response even among the invited guests from the region's councillors, its educational organisations and neighbouring primary schools.

Pupils and teachers soon learned to use the intuitive app and feedback from pupils who played the game was very positive. Pupils became more aware of the need for teamwork in solving tasks as they played the game. At the same time, their results gave us the impetus to form heterogeneous teams to use this educational method more effectively.

Even after the launch of the game, we remain connected with the company, as after the excellent experience with this project we want to build on it with further collaboration in the field of algorithmic game design, IT teaching, etc.

Thank you once again for the training, it was clear, understandable and great that the Glitr teachers could try it out for themselves.

The GLITR application is a great help for teachers, students and parents. It allows in a fun and modern way to introduce children and parents not only educational mobile application to practice the curriculum, but also brings children to places in the surrounding area and the whole Czech Republic. The funding was used by the Ministry of Education and Science from the support of the Digital Divide.

In our school, we use the app as another innovative tool to enhance both the children's digital competence and knowledge of their surroundings, and to improve reading comprehension. It has found its application both in school, where it has worked very well with gifted children, but also with children with support measures. Her potential is great. It provides gifted children with the necessary extension of the curriculum and the opportunity to be involved in the development of programmes, while for children with support measures it is a tool for repetition of the curriculum, for individualisation of teaching and enables a quick response to any needs. In kindergarten, the app allows for learning outside the kindergarten building, outdoor play opportunities for parental involvement, project days. While in school it is mainly based on the principle of reading comprehension, verification of knowledge of the curriculum, knowledge of nature, history and history, in kindergarten more use is made of pictures and sound effects.

A great advantage is the variability of the tasks, the teacher can create exercises according to his/her own needs, there are a number of templates that can be combined with each other. As a result, the exercises and games are tailored to the specific needs of our pupils and to explore the environment. We very much appreciate the possibility of using the app when learning outdoors or at school or community events. After downloading the exercises in the app, mobile data is no longer needed and the game automatically uninstalls after 12 hours. The children appreciate the variety of tasks, fun, interactivity, they enjoy working with the app and the children themselves initiate more and more exercises.

The creators of the app respond to teachers' suggestions and continue to develop it and expand the range of exercises and programs. Although the app will not replace teachers' and parents' time spent with children, it is a very useful and interesting tool for creative teachers. Teachers don't just have to mechanically run the exercises, but can create them according to their topics, interests and needs.
